This is only a testament to my window-cleaning ability March 23, 2006

Filed under: birdwatching — tim @ 10:58 am

Yesterday morning as I was reading the paper and enjoying my coffee, I heard a loud THUD against our window. I had just replaced all the birdseed in all the feeders on Tuesday, and sure enough, a bird had crashed into our living room window. And there, in the thicket, lay the stunned woodpecker:

woodpecker, woodpecker

He eventually gathered his senses and flew off, unharmed.

More pics, plus pics of all the birds that were in the trees the other morning. Thousands upon thousands of them.

    I like the last picture.

    Hey! Easter!

  2. tim Says:

What about Easter? Are you coming too?

  3. Lu Says:

I might. If there will be room!

  4. tim Says:

We just got a mattress today, so we have a small place for you to sleep! (but yeah, you guys can crash in the same style, or with the rents in a hotel)

  5. Lu Says:

Yessssssssssss. Maggie has an air mattress too, maybe I’ll bring it.

  6. tim Says:

no, we had an air mattress, we got a BABY SEALY POSTURPEDIC (for baby)

  7. Lu Says:

BABY SEALY POSTURPEDIC!!!!!!!!!!! I heard tell about this baby sealy.

Have you painted the nursery yet?

  8. the baker's wife Says:

Yes, Lu, you should come! There’s plenty of room! And this time we even have a new FULL-SIZED COUCH so that’s always another sleeping option for someone. The nursery isn’t painted yet but we bought the paint and supplies, so that should count for something. Did you see the wallpaper border we got? It is officially Too Cute For Words.

  9. tim Says:

I believe we get 100 extra bonus points for buying the paint and supplies already! Our child will come out of the womb with a dexterity of +5 and magic of +10
