Price Shock: US Homes (Graph) August 29, 2006

REAL bubbles pop. Take a look at this graph of US Home Prices since 1890 with numbers adjusted for inflation. There’s been a startling trend in the last 15 years that’s markedly different than the 100 before it. 1970’s? 1980’s? They were nothing compared to this housing market. Will this bubble burst? I hope so — but only if we can get a house out of it. With a family now, it’s currently on our mind, but mostly about building a dome home. More on that one later. Just look at the graph, people.
